The New Year saw us travel to Tunbridge Wells on a bright winter morning.  This was a real game of two halves.  In the opening minutes we were edgy and looked like a team low on confidence.  We were second to the ball and failed to make our chances count. We were soon punished by two excellent strikes from a determined Rusthall team which left Kelly with no chance to save.  At half time we were lucky to come in with the score at 2 - 0.

After a quick half time pep talk we started much more brightly and eventually a determined run and strike from Chloe put us back into the match.  Five minutes later good work from Emma sent Chloe through to score an equaliser.  The Magpies now started to turn up the pressure and won a corner.  The ball arrived in the penalty area and Fran volleyed the ball over the keeper to make it 3 - 2.  Rusthall were not giving up and only good defensive work from Freddie, Leanne and Katie stopped them from getting through on goal.

Jaz and Fatma made their presence felt in midfield. We won another corner on the right which was well taken by Sharne to set up Bonnie for the fourth goal.  There were more opportunities with both Sophia and Lucy coming close.  Finally Bonnie scored the fifth goal to put the game beyond a dogged Rusthall side.
